Evega Racing was started in 2016 at Sri Sairam Engineering College in Chennai, with the goal of motivating students who aspire to work in the automotive sector. Electric ATV is the need of the hour and hence an opportunity is given by the team. Students are exposed to a variety of subjects and encouraged to develop abilities such as critical thinking, creativity, analytical and logical problem solving, teamwork, and so on. Our team is made up of 30 students and two staff coordinators.
Our College, is a non-profit, non-minority college founded in 1995 by MJF.Ln.Leo Muthu, Chairman of Sapthagiri Educational Trust. Sri Sairam Engineering College is among the greatest educational institutions in the country because to a well-defined vision, a deeply devoted purpose, and committed leadership. The college is connected with Anna University and the All India Council for Technical Education in New Delhi has authorised it.
Now, our College has developed into a reputed Engineering Institution with ISO: 9001:2008 certifications, NAAC A+ and NBA Accreditation to all the disciplines of engineering. Technical bodies like ISTE, IEEE, SAE, ISA, ISOL and IETE are vibrantly functioning with workshops, guest lectures and conferences.
The roll cage is designed to ensure driver safety during impact and rollover conditions. The design must ergonomically satisfy the driver position and provide maximum comfort for the drive while travelling through rugged terrain
The steering system is to provide directional stability and control of the vehicle, to withstand high stress in off terrain conditions, to reduce the turning radius, to reduce steering effort and to provide a faster response from road to driver.
The brake system increases the safety of vehicle by locking all 4 wheels in static and dynamic in both even and uneven terrains to have a better stopping distance.
The suspension ensures contact between the tyres and the road. It isolates the body of the vehicle from road impacts to provide utmost ride
comfort.
A suitable powertrain design is implemented such that the vehicle gives its best performance during mobility. The vehicle must overcome the frictional forces, aerodynamic drag and must provide enough torque to have good gradeability and smooth acceleration.
